* After submitting documents at the admission desk, you will receive an Admission Number. With obtained Admission Number you can pay the first-year fee through online mode.
a. All applicants are requested to frequently visit the website.
b. The admission process will be on merit basis and seats will be allotted based on the Open Merit rank.
c. Candidates who are provisionally admitted after the counseling should confirm their seat by submitting the required documents and completing the payment at the college office.
d. Non-payment of fee within the stipulated time frame will result in the forfeit of the confirmed seat.
e. The admission process will be completed only when the allotted candidates complete the fee payment with submission of the documents.
▪ M Dasan Institute of Technology (MDIT), Kozhikode, offers admission to the M.Tech (2-year Full-Time) postgraduate programme under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), Thiruvananthapuram, and is approved by AICTE.
▪ Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India / Persons of Indian origin (PIO) / Overseas citizen of India (OCI). PIO /OCI candidates are not eligible for any kind of reservation.
▪ Academic Requirements: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from an institution approved by AICTE or a UGC-approved Deemed University in India. Candidates who have completed their degree from foreign universities must produce an equivalency certificate from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
▪ Minimum Marks: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree Examination is required. For SEBC (OBC) students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks is required. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient.
▪ AMIE / AMIETE Candidates: Such candidates are eligible for admission provided they have a valid GATE score and obtained a minimum of 55% marks in Section B of the AMIE/AMIETE Examination.
▪ Final Semester Students: Candidates appearing for the final semester examination may also apply, provided they have passed all subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam (8th semester for B.Arch students). Admission of such candidates will be confirmed upon submission of the qualifying degree before the date stipulated by the university.
▪ GATE Requirement: Normally, admission is restricted to candidates with a valid GATE score. This requirement is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.
▪ Vacant Seats: If seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE scores, candidates from Kerala State without GATE scores will be considered. If seats still remain vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.
▪ CGPA Conversion: Candidates should produce a conversion formula for their CGPA score if not provided in the mark list or certificate. Otherwise, the conversion formula prescribed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (2015 scheme) will be used.
▪ The admission procedure at M Dasan Institute of Technology (MDIT) follows the regulations prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Kerala. Admission is based on valid GATE scores or M. Tech marks, as per DTE directions.
▪ Government allotment: 50% of the total seats in each branch will be filled by the government allotment.
▪ Management allotment: 50% of the seats are allotted under management category on pure merit from the rank list published by the M Dasan Institute of Technology (MDIT).
▪ Management allots 50% of the total seats under the Management Allotment category. ▪ All seats under the management category are allotted purely on a merit basis.
▪ The management merit rank list is prepared by considering the GATE score or the marks obtained in the B. Tech Degree Examination, as per DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) directions.
▪ The merit rank list will be published according to the schedule, based on applications received up to the announced date.
▪ There is no donation for management seats, and the institution has no agents or intermediaries for admission.
▪ As per the agreement 50% seats are allotted by CEE.
▪ 50% seats are allotted by the CEE on general reservation criteria.
