About Chairman
Mr M. Mehaboob, a visionary, dynamic leader and well known Co operator in the State of Kerala. He is the guiding force behind this commendable venture. Under his leadership, the institute has grown to a superior status and has become one of the most preferred destinations for engineering education among aspiring students and general public within a short span of time. He was officiated many responsible positions from the village level to national level; particularly in the Co-operative sector. Director of NAFSCOB, President of State Cooperative Bank Ltd., Chairman of Consumerfed, Vice President of KERAFED, Director of HOUSEFED, President of Kozhikode District Co- operative Bank Ltd for about 10 years, President of Atholi Service Co- operative Bank Ltd., President of Atholi Co-operative Hospital Society Ltd, Served 7 and half years as President of Atholi Grama Panchayath. Now serving as director Consumerfed Kerala, and Chairman M DIT Group of Institutions (Co Operative Sector) viz M Dasan Institute of Technology, M DIT Polytechnic College, M Dasan Arts & Science College and many more positions are there in his credit. His contribution in the co-operative sector is well accepted. He was the recipient of the Best co operator of the year- 2011 awarded by Banking Frontiers, Mumbai. He was selected to the Best Co operator of the State, an award instituted by the Kizhathaditoor Service Co operative Bank Ltd, Kottayam. He is a graduate in social science and a good orator in Politics. He has attended many national /international programmes and visited USA, Mexico, Japan, Singapore and UAE as a part of these programmes. It is highly remarkable that he received the Pravasi Bharathi (Kerala) “Udyog Pathra Award” during the 21st Pravasi Bharathiya Day celebration in Kerala on January 11, 2023 for his outstanding contributions in the field of higher education and for his commendable performance in establishing an engineering college in the cooperative sector in the rural area of Kozhikode District, with support from the NRI Council of India. He also received the “Mahatma Gandhi Excellency Award” from Mr. P S Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Goa, as part of the Gandhi Peace Foundation at Kollam. Moreover, the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), which is the apex body in the field of cooperative education, conferred upon him the Banking Frontiers Award in 2011, recognizing him as the best co-operator for his valuable contributions to the cooperative sector.
