Students Code of Conduct

The student code of conduct is introduced to foster and protect the core mission and vision of M-DIT. The objective of the code is to provide a clear set of guidelines on how students are expected to behave in M-DIT and towards each other. It aims to promote high standards of discipline and a friendly atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

The students are bound by all the rules and regulations framed by the institution from time to time. The management reserves the right to modify these rules as and when necessary.

Personal practice
  • 1. Treat everyone with dignity, respect privacy and help those in need.
  • 2. Respect different culture and customs.
  • 3. Free from all forms of prejudice.
  • 4. Be sensitive to the right of the others.
  • 5. Familiarize yourself with relevant laws and rules of M-DIT.
  • 6. Students shall rise from their seats when the teacher enters the class room and shall remain standing till the teacher takes her/his seat or they are allowed to sit. Silence shall be observed during class hours.
  • 7. Teachers shall be greeted appropriately with "Good Morning Sir/Miss" or "Good Afternoon Sir/Miss" and a “Thank you Sir/Miss" when the teacher leaves the class room.
  • 8. No student shall enter or leave the class room when the session is on without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  • 9. Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behaviour inside as well as outside the College campus. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the College and should act in a way that highlights the discipline and esteem of the College.
CODE OF CONDUCT
  • 1. Dress code: Students shall come to the college in approved uniforms with formal shirts tucked into trousers with black belt and black shoes. Students not adhering the dress code will not be allowed to attend the classes. On academic holidays students should be decently attired and well groomed while on the campus.
  • 2. ID Card: Every student of the college must have an identity card and must wear it on person while on the campus. Identity badge is a public document and any teaching staff and non-teaching staff shall have the right to peruse it. Any student found without Id-Card may be barred from entering the campus. The loss of ID-Card must be reported to the office immediately by remitting the required fee.
  • 3. Leave Rules: Every student must attend all classes and at least 75% attendance is required to register for university examinations. The shortfall in attendance is meant to take care of medical leave or other unavoidable circumstances. All leave applications (Regular & Medical) shall be submitted to tutor in time, for sanction by HOD. Application for medical leave shall be accompanied by valid Medical Certificates.
DISCIPLINE RULES
  • 1. The students should obey the rules and respect the discipline of the college once they are enrolled in the college.
  • 2. Students should attend classes with regularity and punctuality.
  • 3. Ragging is totally prohibited and anyone found guilty of ragging and / or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance UGC regulations.
  • 4. The institution has Grievance Redressal Committee appointed as per APJKTU guidelines. Aggrieved student would contact the committee for the redress of their grievances.
  • 5. Use of mobile phone inside the campus is strictly prohibited.
  • 6. Students are expected to be in their seats before the teacher enters the classroom and during leisure hours they may make use of the Reading Rooms in the General Library.
  • 7. Students are not to stay back in the class room/lab beyond normal working hours unless there is special permission/special class and refrain from causing disturbance to anyone inside the classroom or in the campus.
  • 8. Students are expected to maintain silence in the academic buildings. Loitering during class time is forbidden. Loud /impolite talk/use of unparliamentarily language which offends the listeners would be dealt with seriously
  • 9. Students are instructed to commute by college bus and use of personal vehicle are strictly forbidden inside the campus
  • 10. The behaviour of the students at all times, within or outside the campus must be above board and must reflect a sense of responsibility.
  • 11. Any sort of personal celebrations (birthday, anniversary, etc) are strictly forbidden inside the campus.
  • 12. No person shall be invited to address or entertain the students of the college without the prior permission from the authority college.
  • 13. Use net connectivity only for academic activities.
  • 14. Students are required to show due regard for the rights and property of the M-DIT. Littering the campus and defacing the infrastructure will attract punishment. It is strongly advised to refrain from activities such as scribbling or noting on walls, door or furniture which could deface the college and destroy the academic ambiance.
  • 15. Instigating or abetting collective insubordination will be viewed seriously.
  • 16. No society or association of the students will be formed without the consent of the college.
  • 17. For independent study, students are expected to use the class rooms, library or the demarcated areas of the academic building and shall not resort to sitting in staircases or circulation areas where they could interfere with the free movement.
  • 18. Consumption or possession of alcohol/drugs and being under the influence while on the campus is prohibited.
  • 19. Misbehaving in class / behaving arrogantly towards the faculty is considered as indiscipline and that will be dealt seriously.
  • 20. Theft, gambling, sexual harassment, physical fights with each other, smoking , indecent behaviour in public places will be dealt with severely by the college. Any other offence not included in this list will be dealt with on a case basis by the college.
  • 21. Pay fees, mess bills etc. in advance or in time to avoid fines.
  • 22. Any notification published on the college website or notice signed/countersigned by the Principal and published on the College Notice Board shall be considered as having been brought to the notice of the college community.
