The primary objective of A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) is to enhance the quality of engineering education. At the institutional level, the KTU Coordinator, along with the Department Coordinators, plans, monitors, and administers all academic and examination-related activities of the KTU Cell in a systematic manner. Teaching learning and evaluation processes are interdependent, and the Examination Cell plays a critical role in ensuring effective assessment of student performance.
The Examination Cell of M-DIT functions as an integral component of the KTU framework and operates under the supervision of the Chief Superintendent of Examinations (Principal), with the support of trained faculty and administrative staff. The Examination Cell is responsible for the conduct of external examinations in a fair, transparent, and well-organized manner, strictly adhering to the regulations, guidelines, and timelines prescribed by the University, thereby ensuring credibility and reliability in the evaluation process.
Objectives
· Serve as an effective interface between the University and the College for academic and examination-related activities.
· Disseminate University notifications and circulars to students and faculty promptly and accurately.
· Coordinate, execute, and monitor academic processes through the KTU online portal of the College.
· Facilitate systematic evaluation of student performance through the conduct of examinations.
· Promote transparency, fairness, and reliability in the examination and evaluation processes.
Activities
- Facilitate and monitor student enrollment, course selection, course mapping, and examination registration through the KTU portal.
- Organize and conduct university theory and practical examinations in accordance with University norms and schedules.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of examination-related materials and logistics for the smooth conduct of examinations.
- Prepare and process remuneration bills for timely disbursement of honorarium to examination duty staff.
