Latex Workshop

A Latex Workshop was conducted to familiarize students with Latex, a professional document preparation system widely used for academic and technical writing. The workshop covered the basics of Latex, including document structure, formatting, equations, tables, figures, and references. Students were guided on how to create reports, research papers, and project documentation efficiently using Latex.

The hands-on session enabled students to understand the advantages of Latex over traditional word processors, especially for technical content. The workshop improved students’ documentation skills and prepared them for academic writing, project work, and future research activities.

Industrial Visit – AIR (All India Radio)

Date: 26/10/2024

An industrial visit was organized to All India Radio (AIR) to provide students with practical exposure to broadcasting and communication systems. During the visit, students were introduced to the functioning of radio studios, transmission equipment, antennas, and audio processing systems. The technical staff explained the process of program production, recording, editing, and broadcasting.

The visit helped students understand the real-time application of communication engineering concepts such as signal transmission, modulation, and broadcasting techniques. It offered valuable insights into the role of public broadcasting services and enhanced students’ knowledge of media and communication technology.

Ideathon Winners of Techfest

As part of the Techfest celebrations, an Ideathon was conducted to encourage innovation, creativity, and problem-solving among students. Participants presented their ideas focusing on real-world challenges and emerging technologies. The ideas were evaluated by a panel of judges based on innovation, feasibility, technical knowledge, and presentation skills.

The winners of the Ideathon were recognized for their outstanding ideas and innovative approach. The event motivated students to think critically, work collaboratively, and develop solutions with practical applications. It successfully fostered an entrepreneurial mindset and promoted a culture of innovation among students.

 

Panel Discussion

Alumni Talk

An Alumni Talk was conducted to bridge the gap between current students and alumni of the institution. 3D Printing Workshop

A 3D Printing Workshop was organized to introduce students to the fundamentals and applications of additive manufacturing. The workshop covered topics such as 3D modeling, slicing software, printer setup, and material selection. Students were given a demonstration of the 3D printing process and learned how digital designs are converted into physical models.

Farewell Party

The Farewell Party was organized to bid a warm and respectful goodbye to the outgoing students. The event was filled with emotions, appreciation, and joyful moments as juniors expressed their gratitude and best wishes to their seniors. Various cultural performances such as songs, dances, speeches, and fun activities were organized, creating a cheerful and memorable atmosphere.

The seniors also shared their memories and expressed their gratitude towards the institution. Industrial Visit – BSNL Kozhikode

Date: 12/09/2025

An industrial visit was organized to BSNL Kozhikode to gain practical exposure to real-time telecommunication systems and network infrastructure. During the visit, students were introduced to the working of various communication technologies such as optical fiber communication, switching systems, broadband services, and mobile network operations. Engineers from BSNL explained the structure and functioning of the telecom exchange, transmission units, and maintenance procedures.

The visit helped students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practices. It also provided insights into the challenges faced in maintaining large-scale communication networks and the importance of reliability and security in telecom services. Overall, the visit was highly informative and enhanced the students’ understanding of the telecommunications industry.
