Safer Internet Day | Cyber Awareness Workshop | NIELIT Calicut
The Cyber Awareness & Digital Safety Workshop was conducted for M-DIT College students with the aim of strengthening cyber hygiene and promoting responsible digital behavior. The program focused on educating students about prevailing cyber threats, online frauds, and digital scams, while emphasizing the importance of safe, secure, ethical, and responsible use of digital technologies.
The workshop also created awareness about cybercrime reporting mechanisms, legal responsibilities, and the safe adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence. In addition, students were introduced to career pathways and skill development opportunities in the field of cyber security, encouraging them to explore future prospects in this growing domain.
Overall, the workshop aligned with the Information Security Education & Awareness (ISEA) initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and aimed to empower students to protect their digital identities, make informed digital choices, and become responsible Digital Naagriks.
