ED Club
The Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club is an initiative by DIC to promote entrepreneurial skills and innovation among students in colleges. The primary goal of the ED Club is to create an ecosystem where students can develop entrepreneurial thinking, explore business ideas, and transform their innovative concepts into startups.
Some of the key objectives of the ED Club include:

Fostering innovation, creativity, and leadership skills among students.

Providing mentorship and guidance from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.

Conducting workshops, seminars, and competitions focused on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Offering networking opportunities for students with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.

Encouraging students to identify societal problems and develop innovative solutions.
The ED Club functions as a platform for nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
Startup Track
Design Thinking Workshop
A design thinking workshop is a creative problem-solving session that is based on the principles of design thinking. These workshops are activity-based and they involve real-time collaboration. Design thiniking workshop had conducted for 1st year students for developing their problem solving skill. The workshop’s resource person was Mr. Arun Krishnan, YIP district coordinator Wayanad, Founder of techone technologies Pvt. Ltd. And T one decor on 8th April 2024.
Orientation Class on YIP 6.0
An orientation session on YIP 6.0 is conducted on 16th February 2024 fro first year students. The session was handled by Mr. Vishnu C U( KDISC YIP Intern, IEDC M-DIT CEO, Student of CE department). Students got an overall idea about YIP, its themes and its application process. A total of 75 studnets attended the session. 8 ideas submitted by M-DIT students for the same.
FDP on Innovation Entrepreneurship and IPR
IEDC MDIT in association with ED Club, ISTE and IEEE of MDIT organized a 5 day FDP on Innovation Entrepreneurship and IPR during the period 23/1/2024 to 30/1/2024 for M-DIT faculties and lab staff. The FDP was inaugurated by our chairman Mr. M Mehaboob and was well packed with excellent resource persons
Programs on Techfest in association with various departments
During the college techfest 2023 IEDC MDIT organized events like ideathone, problem solving sesssion and other technical related workshops.

Talk on Idea Validation.
As part of women’s day IEDC MDIT in association with ED club MDIT organized a talk on Idea Validation on 9th march 2023. With our resourse person Ms. Swetha R, Founder and CEO of She birth, our studnets got a hands on experience on how to validate their idea. A total of 35 students atteneded the workshop.
One day workshop on Fashion Designing
One day workshop on fashion desiging is held on 8th march 2023 as part of international women’s day in association with women’s club MDIT and IEDC MDIT. Resource Person: Ms.Sindhu P, Institute Of Fortune Fashion Designing. 30 students atteneded the workshop
One Design thinking workshop.
A one day design thinking workshop is conducted on 27th october 2022 for the first year students by the IEDC MDIT team. During the workshop students were divided in to groups, selected different problems to solve and designed prototype for the same. 80 students participated in the event.
Meet the Entrepreneur.
An online event Meet the Entrepreneur is conducted on 21st august 2022. The event is conducted via google meet from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Guest of the event was Mr. Arun Krishnan , Founder and CEO techone technologies Pvt.Ltd. He gave the students on a brief of his journey and encourage student to have innovative ideas and convert it to startup.

Bussiness Model Canvas (workshop- entrepreneurship)
IEDC MDIT conducted a workshop on Business model canvas in Association with ED Club MDIT. 45 students from various department attended the same. The workshop is conducted by Ms. Aparna C, Assistant professor ECE, MDIT. During the workshop students selected different business sectors and able to do business model canvas for the sector. The program was held on 22nd November 2022.
